Who I am

Kristina Meyer, PhD

For the past decade, I served as EVP Business Development & Alliance Management at Inventiva SA, a clinical-stage biotech company focused on metabolic, fibrotic and rare diseases. As a member of the Executive Committee, I led global licensing and partnership strategies, oversaw market access and pre-launch planning for a phase III asset in metabolic-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), and established collaborations across Europe, the U.S., China and Japan. My work has spanned the full spectrum of business development — including in- and out-licensing, pipeline review, market access, and commercialization planning — while driving corporate growth through international collaborations and non-dilutive financing.

Earlier, at Oxford BioTherapeutics, I played a key role in shaping the company’s business development and partnering strategy for its antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) pipeline. I led licensing, co-development, and discovery alliances with major pharma partners in the U.S. and Europe, integrating cutting-edge science with strong commercial execution. This experience strengthened my ability to identify value in early-stage innovation and innovative platforms and structure win–win partnerships that drive long-term success.

Before that, at Evotec, I helped expand the company’s drug discovery services business across Europe and the U.S. I consistently exceeded revenue targets by securing large, multi-million-dollar collaborations and structuring innovative research partnerships. Working closely with cross-functional teams, I translated complex research programs into commercially viable deals aligned with both client goals and corporate growth strategies.

My professional path began in scientific publishing and software commercialization before transitioning into biotechnology business leadership. Trained as a chemist with a PhD from J.W. Goethe University Frankfurt and postdoctoral research experience in molecular biology and biophysics at Yale University, I bring both scientific depth and strategic acumen to every project.

Fluent in English and German, I thrive in multicultural environments and am driven by a commitment to advancing science, building partnerships, and creating long-term value through innovation.

Outside of biotech, I’m passionate about sustainability and environmental protection. In 2024, I founded a non-profit supporting regional organic farming and biodiversity projects. I live with my family in a small town close to Freiburg and Basel.
